Country Details For A Whittier Backyard Wedding
Sara and Scott’s first date was at a country concert and it was evident that they’ll introduce elements of their favorite genre at their wedding. They got married on a hot day of August, in Whittier. The ceremony took place in Sara’s uncle’s backyard and was followed by a reception in front of their neighbors’ barn. From the couple’s wearing boots to hay bales that served as seating for the ceremony, and pink vintage glassware at the reception, I’ll give you some ideas to introduce elegant Country elements to your wedding like Sara and Scott’s.
Details outfits
Sara chose an extra long lace veil to bring up some romantic, vintage touch to her gown. Under her dress, you could see peeking her country boots, hand painted with white flowers. Of course, Scott had matching boots!
The couple decided to do a big reveal on the aisle and skipped the first look. I invited them to take some individual portraits before the ceremony in the same place.
Sara’s gigantic roses’ bouquet made of blush and white roses balanced the rustic vibe of the country theme.
2. Ceremony Details
The Ceremony area was perfectly in theme!
Hay Bales were arranged in lines to seat all their family and friends. Some burlap was put on it to avoid itchiness from the hay. The rustic, simple, dark wooden altar was soften by blush drapes and pink and white florals.
On each side of the aisle, some flowers in locals were hang. It gave the scene a vintage and delicate touch.
Lastly, some refreshment drinks were put in an iron bucket at the entrance of the ceremony to help the guests cool down before the celebration.
3. Reception details
The extra long wooden tables placed in front of the white and grey barn invited the guests to celebrate altogether after the Ceremony. I’ve seen a lot of bamboo plates lately at weddings and here, it matches perfectly the country and rustic theme. The tables were all topped with blush and white florals and eucalyptus greenery. Some white lace were introduced in the burlap cutlery pouches and each guests received a beautiful pink vintage glass and a pink coper cup as a wedding favor (and to be used directly for cocktails!).
Some barrels were placed as table at the cocktail hour and for dancing. The guests seating chart and guests board were made of dark wood and enhanced the country feeling.
Finally, the cake was made to look like birch wood. How cute is the cake toper?
