A Lilac Wedding with a first look in Redondo Beach

I love how the Portofino’s lounge area look like since they remodeled it and we were lucky to be able to snap a couple of photos of Tracie and Chris there before the wedding. Her long train and veil were perfect in front of the window.

Tracie and Chris decided to tie the knot in Tracie’s parent’s backyard and have a micro wedding. To make it even more special, they opted for a first look in Redondo Beach followed by some wedding party near the Marina.

We arranged the first look in front of the Marina in Redondo Beach. Chris was so moved to see his future wife and the emotion was palpable. I love to take some Couple photos right after the first look, it’s the best moment to capture all kind of beautiful emotions on the future wedded’s face.

There is a misconception that says that if a couple do a first look, there will be less emotions during the wedding processional. But look at Chris’ staring at Tracie coming toward him, at her father’s arm. It was beautiful to see him so moved and it always make me tear up to see so much love at this moment of the wedding.

Chris and Tracie met at a Bible Study, got to know each other and decided to get married religiously. Their spiritual stories connecting them together started all the way back to a travel in Thailand a couple of years ago. Finding yourself, faith and love, what could be a better combo!

I shot this beautiful wedding for Carissa Woo photography and was assisted by Cynthia. Don’t you think this Backyard transformation for the wedding is pretty epic?
